Challenge / question
A client asks Bronswerk® Heat Transfer to supply a dry air installation. Process air originates from plain outside air which constantly changes temperature and humidity. In order to use it as dry air in the food industry, the conditions of the air must be adjusted so that they are identical at the beginning and the end of the installation. The air has to be dried, humidified, cooled, heated, accelerated, condensed and/or dedusted. This takes place in a so-called 'air purification street'. This unit has several components, including a centrifugal fan, water grid, cooler, heater, nebuliser, filter, control valve and silencer which are all connected by air ducts. It is important to perfectly match the different components to one another. Many of these 'streets' are built as a skid mounted unit which includes a control system. Sometimes however, the size of the different components is so large that they can only be assembled on-site.
