In many places, the oil is pure enough to transport it immediately after extraction. However, several locations extract a mixture of oil, gas and water (up to 60%). And to transport oil containing 60% water!! It is therefore important to extract the gas and water before transportation. Our client in Sudan is looking for equipment to heat a three phase mixture and equipment to further heat the oil.  This will allow the mixture to be separated into oil, gas and water. The physical characteristics of the three phase mixture are largely unknown. The oil is definitely of a highly fouling nature which means that being able to effectively clean the heat exchangers’ insides must be vital.
