API 661 Air Cooler

Our standard Air Coolers comply with the API 661 standard for Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers. Since this is our standard, we are used to handling specifications and regulations in the design of our equipment.

We design and implement customized Solid Block Header Air-Cooled Coolers for the petrochemical industry. This type of header is preferred in applications with high pressures and/or extreme temperatures and whenever API 661 compliance is required.

Our API Air Coolers are designed to fit the customer’s requirements

The API 661 standard is a design basis for customer-specific equipment. This can be combined with requirements such as high pressure, low noise or minimal pressure drop.

Pressure up to 1,000 bar

Conventional welded plug type header design leads to manufacturing challenges in high-pressure applications. Our Solid Block Plug Type Header is proven up to 1,000 bar.

Low-noise construction

As Air Coolers are located outside, sound requirements can be strict and limiting in the design. Our special low-noise design limits the noise without losing performance.

Minimal pressure drop

By minimizing the tube side pressure drop in our Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers, the power consumption of the pumps can be reduced on-site.
